Growing up, McKenzie Joseck always had a passion for drawing and painting. This was inspired and encouraged by her grandmother, who is an active artist in Granbury, TX, and who she sees as her artist role model. McKenzie received the majority of her art education in High School. She took as many art classes as she could fit into her schedule – Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and even AP Studio Art. While she really enjoys creating beautiful things and expressing herself through art, she changed directions a bit and went on to study Civil Engineering at Texas Tech University. After college and getting settled into her career, she discovered the Rockwall Art League and first got involved in 2022 when she participated in the Fall Show. Since then, McKenzie has made it a point to give art a place in her busy schedule by actively participating in the Rockwall Art League and painting new pieces every chance she gets!
McKenzie works in all mediums but watercolor is the primary medium she works in, mainly due to the low maintenance nature of water color paints, and that they don’t demand a lot of space in the guestroom closet she has made into her art closet. McKenzie has found lately that she has a passion for painting animals and figures. She also loves taking photographs of nature, so as a result she has a hoard of animal photos on her to-do list to paint. Her wonderful husband created a website for her: mjoseckart.com where you can view more of her portfolio, available prints, or reach out for commissions.
