As a native Texan, Debbie grew up in Odessa Texas and went to school in Denver Colorado, Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Denver and worked advertising for Regional Transportation District in Denver. After moving back to Texas she worked for a local Magazine “The Meeting Manager” for Meeting Planners International as production manager and in production and design for all promotional materials. Then she worked a graphic artist and production communication for a local Printer. She then took on her most important job of her life, staying home with her two boys for ten years
She was approached to do some school signs for her son’s school and was offered to teach. So she went back to school and got her certification in teaching art in all levels K-12 grade since 1999. She taught at Canyon Creek Christian Academy, Plano Christian Academy and Wylie ISD and currently teaches at Lucas Christian Academy.
Debbie was the Vice President of Richardson Civic Art Society, where she have held many positions for the past several years. Besides being a member of Rockwall Art League, she is also a member of the Southwest Watercolor Society, Colored Pencil Society and Christians in the Visual Arts.
Her work is in various mediums including watercolor, acrylic, collage and mixed medium and she has won various awards over the years. She has been in "Art to go" gallery in Mesquite, "Artist Show Place" in Richardson, and "Wylie Art Gallery" in downtown Wylie.
She loves doing all sorts of styles, including realism, abstract and collage.
